CARTHAGE-Fred L. Gill,
65, C a r t h a g e , R.D. 2, died
6:05 this morning in Carthage
Area Hospital, where he had
been a patient six days. Mr.
Gill had been in f a i l i ng
health 16 years.
The f u n e r a l will be
Wednesday afternoon at 2 at
the McGraw Funeral Home,
Rev. Kenneth Lord, officiating.
Burial will be in Great
Bend Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home Tuesday afternoon
and evening.
Surviving are his widow,
Mrs. Jean J. Gill; a daughter,
Mrs. Raymond (Virginia)
Cobb, Carthage; two brothers,
George, B r o c k p o r t , and
Charles, Natural Bridge; a sister,
Mrs. Roscoe (Isabelle) Nichols,
Rome; eight grandchildren;
a half-brother, Basil
Bray, Carthage and a half-sister,
Mrs. Oscar (Ida) Murdock,
Natural Bridge.
Born Feb. 13, 1907, son of
Bartlett and N e l l i e Cooper
Gill, in Gouverneur, he attended
Gouverneur and Natural
Bridge schools. He married
Jean Johnston Feb. 8,
1932 in Ebbeston. They-lived
in Carthage, where Mr.' Gill
was employed by the Long
Falls Realty Co. until his retirement
in 1956 because of
poor health.
