Elba, Feb. 20.-An interesting
matrimonial event took place at the
Methodist parsonage at 8 o'clock on
Saturday evening, when Elmer F.
Brayley and Miss Mary Brownell,
both of Elba, were married by the
Rev. Mr. Shorts.
The bride was becomingly attired
in a gown of navy blue serge, with a
hat u. match and carried pink carnations.
The bride and groom were
attended by Miss Florence Bignall of
at a via and Nelson Dorf of Elba.
Relatives present were E. R. Brayley
and Miss Edith Brayley, father
and sister of the Broom; Miss Ethel
Brownell, sister of the bride, and
Miss Allda Barber and Louts Mills.
Immediately after the ceremony
the bridal party repaired to the home
of the groom, where a fine repast was
served. The bride was the recipient
of many pretty and useful gifts in
china, silver, art pieces and money.
Mr. and Mrs. Brayley have a large
circle of friends who will extend
congratulations and beat wishes.
They will reside at the Brayley homostead.
The wedding was to have taken
place at the home of the bride, but
owing to the sudden and severe illness
with appendicitis of her father,
Grant Brownell, the plans were'
changed.
