PORT ALLEGANY. Pa.. May
27-Virgil R. Barron, 70. a
native of Holland, N.Y., and a
burgess of this township for
the last six years, died tonight at
his home. 315 Chestnut St.
Mr. Barron, an agent of the
Pennsylvania Railroad for 42
years, was a member of St.
Barnabas Episcopal Church,
Buffalo, a charter member of
the Veterans of Foreign Wars in
East Aurora and a member of
F&AM Lodge 299 in Nunda.
He was a member of the
McKean County 40 & 8. and a
past commander of Frank Burt
Post, American Legion, here.
Mr. Barron was also a member
of Ismailia Shrine in Buffalo,
and of the Coudersport,
Pa'.. Consistory: Arnold Chapter
of Royal Arch Masons here, and
the Pennsylvania B u r g e s s es
Assn.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Aileen Brayton: a
son, Charles W. Barron, West
Seneca; two sisters, Mrs. Marion
Hicks of Buffalo and Mrs.
Stewart Jackson, Chaffee: a
brother, B. Neal Barron, of Holland,
and two grandchildren.
The body will be at the Walter
Funeral Home until Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held ati
2 Tuesday afternoon. Burial w ill
be in Fairview Cemetery.
