Funeral services for a native
of Lyndonville were held in Oak
Park, 111., Frfday morning. Sanford
J. Breed, 45, died Wednesday
(Sept. 15, 1965) In Oak
Park Hospital after an illness
of several weeks.
Born Feb. 4, 1920 in Lyndonville,
he was a son of Mrs.
lone Andrews Breed of 163 S.
Main St., Lyndonville, and the
late Ernest S. Breed. He was •
1937 graduate of Lyndonville
High School.
He attended the University of
Michigan, and was employed
by Harrison Radiator Division,
General Motors Corp. before enlisting
in the Naval Air Corps at
the beginning of World War II.
He received a degree in chemistry
in 1951 from Roosevelt
College in Chicago in 1951. His
last employment was as a regional
salesman for Atlas Minerals
end Chemical Division of
the Electric Storage Battery
Co.
Besides his widow, the former
Ruth Caryl of Oak Park,
he leaves three children. Margaret,
Nancy and Richard; his
mother; two brothers, Dr. Ernest
Breed of Englewood, N. J..
Bartlett Breed of Lyndonville;
three sisters, Mrs. Howard Miller
of Raleigh. N. C. Mrs.
Stanley Leavitt of Montdalr,
N J., and Mrs. Victor Carhonaro
of Roslyn Heights, L. I.,
also several nieces and neph-
ews.
