Seventy-five relatives and
friends called to congratulate Mr.
and Mrs. La Verne Gray, Alabana
Rd., Alabama, when they held
Open House Dec. 30. from 2-4 and
5-7 to celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary. They have resided
in the same house since their
marriage Jan. 3, 1907.
WED IN WOLCOTTSW1LLE
Miss Edith Brege and LaVerne
Gray were married in the home
of the bride's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. C. H. Brege, Wolcottsville.
by the Rev. Voss, pastor of the
Methodist Church, Alabama.
Two members of the original
wedding party, Frank Brege, Middleport.
who acted as best man
and Miss Uda Brege. now Mrs.
Revere Ackerson. flower girl,
were present at the golden wedding
celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Gray have one
daughter, Mrs. Robert Eick, and
two granddaughters,, Carol and
Elaine Eick,, all of Alabama.
WHITE, GOLD DECORATIONS
A three tiered, all white, anni
versary cake, decorated in gold
centered the lace-covered buffet
table from which cakes, ice cream
and coffee were served by Mrs.
Wilbur Green and Miss Marian
Green.
The bride of 50 years received
her guests in a street-length gown
of ice blue lacy sheer, featuring
a draped bodice, and she wore a
corsage of yellow rosebuds. Mr.
Gray had a boutonniere of white
carnations.
Many gifts and cards were received
by the couple who are in
excellent health.
Guests were from Batavia,
Klba. East Aurora. Akron, Shelby,
Medina, Gasport, Middleport,
Lockport. Oakfield, Buffalo, Basom
and Alabama.
