  Medina NY Daily Register - 11/21/1984 MIDDLEPORT - Edward A. Eick, 31 Kelly Ave., died Tuesday at Orchard Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born June 7, 1889 in the Town of Royalton, to Ferdinand and Anna (Brege) Eick. He worked for the New York State Highway Department retiring in 1969, and farmed for several years on the Johnson Road. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Middleport. He was husband of Helene Eick, and the late Ida Eick and Myra Eick. He was father of the late Mrs. Hilda Orlando, and brother of the late Hattie Duchow, Loren Eick and Avery Eick. Survivors include his wife; one son, Norman Eick of Virginia; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Dormer of Middleport; two brothers, George Eick of Gasport and Erwin Eick of Middleport; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call tonight (7-9) and Thursday (2-4 7-9) at Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc., 38 State St Funeral services will be he held Friday at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with the Rev. William A. Dietsche officiating. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
