Announcement Is made of the engagement
of Miss Lillian Sandbloom,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. A.
Sandbloom 19 Park Street, to Lloyd
W. Bremer of Dunkirk, the wedding
to take place next month. Miss
Sandbloom, who is a talented musician,
was graduated from James-
town high School In 1921 and from
the American Conservatory of Music.
She has been In charge of the organ
department at various unlversities
in the middle west and has recently
been instructor of music at
Fredonia, Mr. Bremer graduated
from the Fredonia Normal school
this year, belng presldent of the class
of 1931, He will take up his duties
as supervisor of music In ths Hornell
public schools In the fall.

IS Park street, was married to Lloyd
W. Bremer, son of Mr and Mrs.
William J. Bremer of 517 East Seventh
street, Dunkirk, at noon today
at the home of the bride's parents,
Miss E. Emelynne Sandbloom of East
Orange, N. J., was her sister's only
attendant and Howard Bremer ot
Dunkirk, brother of the bridegroom,
was best man. palms, ferns end
large clusters of gladioli were beautifully
arranged in the living room
where the marriage service was read
by Rev. G. W. Palmgren, pastor ot
the Zion Mission church. There was
no music, the ceremonies being effective
In their simplicity and only the
Immediate families being present.
The brde wore a gown of tan crepe
created in long graceful lines with
ruffled skirt, and wore a corsage of
Ophelia roses. Miss Sandbloom's
frock, was of brown beaded crepe and
she wore a corsage of talisman roses.
A edding breakfast was served at
the home. Among the guests were
the bridegroom's brother. Norman
Bremer, Mrs. Bremer and daughter.
Arden of Ithaca, N. Y., and the
bride's grandmother, Mrs Emma
Ahlbeck of Ludlow, Pa.
Mrs. Bremer, who Is a brilliant organist
and pianist, a graduate of
Jamestown High school, received
her bachelor ot music degree at the
American Conservatory of Music,
Chicago, and later taught organ and
piano at Tabor college, Tabor, Iowa
and at Drake university, Des Moines,
Iowa, where she was engaged as
organist at the Capitol Hill church
of Christ, the Grace Methodist
Episcopal church and as organist
and director of music at the University
Church of Christ. In recent
years Mrs. Bremer has been teaching
piano at the Fredonia State
Normal school and serving as organist
at the St. John's Episcopal
church at Dunkirk. She is a member
of the Sigma Alpha Iota professional
music sorority and wss elected
to membership in the honorary
.national music fraternity, Pi Kappa
Lambda,
Mr Bremer was graduated at the
Frendonia State Normal school in
June of this year serving as president
of his class. He was student
director of the Southwestern New
York State Music festival held annually
at Fredonia and has accepted
a position as supervisor ot music in
the Hornell Public schools, Hornell,
N. Y. Following a weddlng trip by
motor to Boston. New York city,
Washington, D. C, and Ithaca, Mr.
and Mrs. Bremer will be at home on
Sept. 8 at 113 Chaddock avenue,
Hornell.
Affairs for the bride have been
given by Mrs. Frederick Dressel of
Syracuse, Mrs. • William J. Bremer
of Dunkirk, Miss Emelynne Sandbloom
of East Orange, N. J., and
