  Notes	Lowville NY Journal Republican - 9/11/1930 Mr. and Mrs. Brenton Bailey celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a dinner Saturday at their home in Collinsville. Mr. Bailey is 83 years old and Mrs. Bailey is 81. Both are very active and enjoy good health. A .feature' of the afternoon's entertainment .was a mock wedding. Two attractive wedding cakes were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Bailey by Mrs. Adell Radell, of Boonville, and Mrs. Charles Windecker of Collinsville. ' Mr. and Mrs. Bailey were married at Lowville, September 6, 1870, and shortly after moved to Port Leyden. The greater part of their married life however, was spent on a farm on Tug hill. About 20 years ago they moved to the farm which they now occupy in Collinsville. In 1876, twins, Marion and Minnie, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Bailey. Miss Bailey, who married Fay Salmons, died in 1904

  Lowville NY Journal Republican - 10/17/1935 Mrs. Virginia Bailey, 86, died In her home at Collinsville, Thursday afternoon, October 10, after a long illness. She was born on Tug Hill, September 1, 1848, daughter of Amie and Rosalie Manigold Brenon. September 25, 1870, she was married to Brenton Bailey, who died a year ago. She had resided at Port Leyden and Tug Hill before coming to Collinsville,, where she made her home for nearly 20 years. Mrs. Bailey was a member of St. John Church, Lyons Falls, and its Rosary Society. Surviving are a son, Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret O'Hara,, Boon- ville and Rain Maurer, West Leyden.
