Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G Murphy
of 345 Clinton St announce
that the marriage of their daughter,
Joleen Carol, to Gerald Eugene
Brewer, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Chester Brewer of 82 Beattle Ave,
will be solemnized at 10 o'clock
Saturday morning at St. John's
Church-
The reception will be held from
5 to 9 o'clock at the Moose Home
on Lock Street.

The marriage of Miss Joleen Carol Murphy and Gerald
Eugene Brewer was solemnized Saturday morning at
St John the Baptist Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Francis
A. Clancy officiated at the ceremony before an altar set
with white carnations and red roses. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Murphy of 345 Clinton
St. and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Chester
Brewer of 82 Beattie Ave.

the bride was attired in a ble.
gown fashioned with a white Chantilly
lace bodice, long sleeves and
Peter Pan collar on the illusion
neckline. The full-length skirt was
of lace inserts over nylon net and
taffeta. Her lace headpiece was a
heart-shaped semi-crown studded
with seed pearls from which fell a
fingertip veil. She carried a cascade
of white roses.
Maureen Murphy attended her
sister as maid of honor In a gown
of shrimp net over taffeta, and
carrying a Colonial bouqquet of
shattered carnations ad shrimp
roses. A matching velvet crown,
stuffed with rhinestones, with a
small veil completed her ensem-
ble.
Wearing similar gowns la
Chinese blue were the bridesmaids,
Miss Mary Ann Cutter,
Miss Reve Saw aad Miss Sandra
LeVeqae of Angola, a cousin
ef the brtde. They wore
heart-shaped picture hats aad
carried shattered caraatloaa
aad blue roses.
Flower girls were Mary Jane
Chapman of Mlddleport, cousin of
the bride, and Sue Ann Brewer,
sister of the groom. Their gowns of
shrimp net featured sweetheart
necklines and hoop skirts. Large
net bows under their chins held
their heart-shaped picture hats and
they carried miniature Colonial
bouquets of shattered carnations
and shrimp roses.
Leonard Dunker attended his
nephew as best man. Ushering duties
were performed by Pvt. Paul
Murphy of Marysvtlle, Calif.,
brother of the bride, Gerald linger
and Herbert Brewer, uncle of
the groom.
Mrs. Norbert Fritton was the organist
at th« church.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Murphy wore navy and white
taffeta with white accessories and
corsage of yellow roses. Mrs-
Brewer wore aqua lace with pink
accessories and a corsage of pink
roses.
Mrs. ' Elizabeth Barnwell,
grandmother of the bride, and
Mrs. Martha Brewer, grandmother
of the groom both wore
gray lace and orchid corsages.
A wedding breakfast was served
to 85 at the Moose Home on Lock
Street, whore the reception to 500
alio was hold. The bride'* table
was centered by a four-tiered wedding
cake and decorated with
white, blue and shrimp carnations
and candles in candelabra
For a motor trip to the Pocono
Mountains, too bride wore a navy
tweed suit with white accessories.
Her corsage was of yellow roses.
Upon their return, the couple will
reside at 12 Beattie Ave
Out-of-town guests were from
California, Buffalo, S i l v er
Springs, Angola, Hackettstown and
ewark, N. J.
The bride is a graduate of St.
Joseph's Academy and the groom
of Lockport High School.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride Wat feted at showers
given by Mrs. Howard Dram,
Mrs. Chester Brewer, Miss
Miss' Cotter and Miss Murphy.
The rehearsal party was given
Friday evening by the groom's
parents at their home.
