A Requiem Mass will be. celebrated
at 9 15 am Friday in St.
Joseph's New Cathedral for James
H. Smith. 43, of 25 Horton PL,
operator of a downtown restaurant
for more than 10 years He
died early yesterday in his home
after a three-vear illness.
Prayer- will be said at 8 30
a.m. Friday, in the Lynett and
Son Funeral Home. 389 Parkside
Ave. Burial will be in Holy Cross

Mr. Smith, a native and lifelong
resident of Buffalo, operated
the Jimmy Smith Restaurant, 157
Franklin St . a popular luncheon
and meeting place for businessmen,
lawyers and others in the
downtown area.
Surviving Mr. Smith are his
wife. Mrs. Genevieve Brewer
Smith, whom he married 20 years
ago; a sister. Mrs. Helen Katzoff,
and a brother. Francis J. Smith.
