Rose (Pannozzo) Giovannucci, 89, formerly of Pierce Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully Saturday Jan- uary 31, 2015 in Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lock- port, NY, after a brief illness. She was born June 2, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Pasqualina (Angerille) and Pasquale Pannozzo. A Niagara Falls native Rose attended local schools and received her secretarial certificate from Kelly's Business Institute. On October 25, 1945 the former Rose Pannozzo married Albert Giovannucci in St. Joseph's Church. He died December 28, 1979. Rose worked as a secretary for many years for the 7Up Bottling Company and later the Niagara Falls Civil Defense Office until her retirement in the mid 1980's. He pastimes included reading and quilting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Albert Giovannucci of Wilson, NY, Gerald (Rod) Giovannucci of Niagara Falls, NY, Patricia (Gary) Antonelli of Berlin Hgts., OH.; five grandchildren, Marcia (Tom) Antonelli-Vaccaro, Marc (Devin) Antonelli, Lisa (Tony) Strangio, Vincent Giovannucci and Albert Giovannucci; six great grandchildren, Mariella, Luciana, Antonio, Stella, Xavier and Izzabella; two sisters, Nellie (late Joseph) Morreale, Angie (late Sam) Amantia and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her step-father the late Antonio Restaino, and her brother, the late Tony (Rose) Restaino.
The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday 4-8 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church 1413 Pine Avenue, Rev. Stewart M. Lindsay, OSFS. Officiating. Family and Friends invited.
