- Joan Smith Dunbar Muisiner 89 of Lockport Wife of the late Charles Muisiner and Richard Dunbar entered into rest on Friday December 29, 2017 at Eastern Niagara Hospital Lockport. Born on June 23, 1928 in Lockport NY to the late Dudley and Leah Wiseman Smith. Joan worked as a teaching aide at Gasport Elementary from 1964 to 1977. She was a member of the Ridgewood Bible Church the ICMH Aux. She volunteered at the St. Andrew's Community Store and also taught Sunday school for many years. Survivors include her daughter Beth (Michael) Fisher of Lockport; a son Charles (Pamala) Dunbar of Burt; a sister Helen Taylor and a brother Merle Smith. Also surving are her grandchildren Katie Jo (Peter) Fisk, Kevin (Amy) Fisher, Amanda (Kari) McFayden, Jessica (Nathan) Malloy and Nicole (Brian) Buhr; her great grandchildren Ryan, Jillian, Logan, Calvin, Luca, Harper, Lydia and Pierce and several nieces and nephews. Joan is Predeceased by her husband Charles Muisiner(2016) and Richard Dunbar(1961; her sisters Doris Stout and Lorraine"Tish" Gooding; brother in-laws Faber Gooding and Vance Taylor and sister in-law Marcia Smith Family and friends may call on TUESDAY from 7-9PM and WEDNSDAY from 10AM till 12PM at the Ridgewood Bible Church 7073 Ridge Rd. Lockport, NY 14094. Funeral Services will be held at the church immediately follow at 12PM. Burial will take place in Mountain Ridge Cemetery Town of Royalton. Memorial Donations may be made the Ridgewood Bible Church or the Newfane Library.
