- William J. “John” Bridgeman, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his home. He was 80. He was born in Niagara Falls on February 17, 1939, a son of the late Frederick and Lillian (Wright) Bridgeman. He attended local schools and then graduated from the Bradley School of Music in Niagara Falls, Ontario. John played the organ in every church in Niagara Falls and was the organist and choir director at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Niagara Falls for over 30 years. He also taught music and was the organist for Prince of Peace Church for 15 years.
John loved people and had a passion for physical fitness and would routinely visit several gyms in the area to excercise.
He is survived by his niece Robyn (Dennis) Toth of Pendleton, nephew Robert “Bobby” Bridgeman of Sanborn and niece Lynn (Christopher) Coleman of Lockport. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Robert (late Beverly) Bridgeman.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10 A.M. at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Burial will be private.
