 Joseph Green, 62, of 5724
 Stephenson Ave. died today in
 Memorial Medical C e n t er
 following a one-year illness.
 B o r n in Newfoundland,
 Canada, he had been a resident
 of Niagara Falls for 42 years.
 He was a self employed painter
 for 30 years and he owned
 and operated the Joseph Green
 Painting Co. here.
 He was a World War H
 veteran, serving with the b.S
 Navy in the Pacific Theater,
 and received the award of
 honor from this city upon
 discharge from service.
 He was past commander of
 the LaSalle P o s t 917 of
 Veterans of Foreign Wars
 (VFW).
 He is survived by his widow,
 Laura Green; two sons, David
 Green and William Brierley
 both of this city, a daughter
 Mrs. Marlene Cole, of Win-
 terhaven, Fla.; two brothers
 William Pircey and Malcolm
 Pircey, both of Newfoundland
 two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth
 Green of Newfoundland and
 Mrs. Louise LaDrew of Toronto:
 and seven grandchildren. ..
 Funeral services will be held
 Wednesday at the Lane Funeral
 Home at 1:30 p.m. with thd.
 Rev. Ray K. Hallin officiating
 Burial will be in Memorial Paris
 Cemetery.- ;
 Friends may call today from
 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from
 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
