- Josephine (Paonessa) Marcucci, 95 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2016 in Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief Illness. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 3, 1921 to the late Addie (Buzzelli) and Joseph Paonessa. A Niagara Falls native she was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. Josephine worked at Kimberly Clark for over thirty years until it closed. Her pastimes included, baking and spending time with her family. After her retirement, Josephine also enjoyed spending time at the Duke Center.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen A. Marcucci and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband the late Angelo Marcucci and her brother the late Anthony J. Paonessa, Army Air Corps who was killed in action during WWII. There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family of Jesus Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Thursday at 12:00 Noon.
