  Rome NY Daily Sentinel - 5/27/1913 Mrs. George Amnion has received the sad news of the death of her brother. George Briggs. which occurred at Utica on Saturday. ALSO Same paper and date The remains of George Briggs Jr.. who died in Utica were brought to this village Sunday and interred In the Ava Cemetery. He was a son of the late George and Kate Briggs of this place and was born here October 12. 1854. He leaves his wife. several children, and one sister, Mrs. George Ammon of West Leyden.
