Lon Charles Sherrie, age 50, of Wilson, entered into rest suddenly on Wed-nesday, March 11, 2015. Born July 15, 1964 in Newfane, Lon is the son of Lynn and Helen (Reese) Sherrie. Lon married Angela Shaffer January 4, 1997 in Lewiston, NY.
They have three children, Amber Baker, Brooke Baker and Layne Sherrie, all of Wilson; a grandson, Mason; Lon's parents, Lynn and Helen Sherrie of Wilson; sister, Paula (Brian) Schrader of Wilson and son-in-law of Linda Shaffer; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Lon.
Lon was a 1982 graduate of Wilson High School. He was owner/ operator of L.C.S. Home Improvement of Newfane. He enjoyed hunting and was a big fan of NASCAR.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY on Monday from 4 to 7 PM. A memorial services will be held immediately following with the Reverend John Loeser officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY.
