- Wayne J. Printup, 66 of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on June 7, 2018 at Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Ransomville, NY he was the son of the late Harrison ‘Pelly’ and Doris (Jacobs) Printup, Sr.
Wayne was a lifelong resident of the Tuscarora Nation. He attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Wheatfield High School, and later attended Buffalo State Teachers College. On August 25, 1973, he married Sherry L. (Henry) Printup at the Tuscarora Baptist Church. Wayne was a member of the Roofers Local No. 74 for forty years working on numerous commercial buildings in the Western New York area until his retirement. He was a passionate Indian and Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing and shooting pool. Wayne was also very artistic and a talented painter and drawer. Above all Wayne was devoted to his family and his greatest pleasure was spending time with them.
In addition to his beloved wife Sherry of 44 years, Wayne is survived by his son Jesse (Desiree) Printup, his granddaughter, Meadow Printup, grandson, River Printup, brothers, Harrison ‘Wimpy’ (Jeanie) Printup, Gene (Joy) Printup and William (Lori) Printup, sister Merrelene (Alan) Hammer as well as several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Printup, Rosemarie (Tom) Mt. Pleasant and three brothers, Tony ‘Dino’ (late Candace) Printup, Keith Printup, Sr. and Ellwood Printup, Sr.

Wayne’s family will be present to receive family and friends at their home 5578 Walmore Road, Lewiston, NY after 12 noon on Sunday June 10th until funeral services begin on Monday June 11th at 2 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
