DUNDEE - Charles H. Briggs,
65, of RD 1, died Saturday, (Dec.
24) at Robert Packer Hospital,
Say re. Pa., after a long illness.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. today at the Baird
Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Rev. Benjamin Disbrow will
officiate. Burial will be in Hillside
Cemetery.
Mr. Briggs was born Aug. 27,
1923, in Andover, N.Y., son of
Howard and Reita Wallace Briggs.
He was an Army veteran of World
War II. He was a retired employee
of Dresser-Rand Co., and a
member of the American Legion of
Penn Yan, and the Penn Yan Loyal
Order of the Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Mary
Bodine Briggs; one son, Gordon C.
Briggs of Dundee; two grandchildren;
two sisters, Sara
Hainsworth of Warsaw, and Irma
Mullens of Penn Yan; seven
brothers, Lewis, Lawrence, Robert,
David, Arling and Howard, all of
Dundee, and Stanley of Marathon;
and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the Dundee Volunteer Ambulance
Corps or the American
Cancer Association.
