  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 4/9/1947 Mrs. Mabel A. Briggs, nee Forth, 49, died last night at her home, 20 Loretta street, after a prolonged illness. Born in the town of Wheatfield she had re- sided in Tonawanda the past 25 years. She was a member of the Salem Evangeical and Reformed church and the Women's Guild of the church. She is survived by her husband, Kempton F.; two daugh- ters, Mrs Loren Herman of Ton- awanda and Shirley at home; a grandson, Dennis Lynn Herman, and four brothers, Edward Forst of Tonawanda, Herbert and Ray- mond Forth of the town of Wheat- field and Elmer Forth of North Tonawanda. Rites will be held Sataurday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam street, and half an hour later from the Salem church. The Rev. Walter F. Hetzel will offi- ciate. Burial will be in the Wheat- field cemetery.
