Herman-Briggs
The marriage of Miss Lorlnda
Briggs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Kempton Briggs of 67 Fletcher
street, Tonawanda, to Loren Herman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil
Herman of 84 Walter avenue, Tonawanda,
was solemnized Saturday
afternoon, Oct. 25, at 4 o'clock In
the parsonage of Immanuel Lutheran
church, the Rev. F. O. Schol*
officiating.
The bride wore a gown of pale
blue taffeta with a lace yoke and
tiny buttons down the back, a corsage
of white pompons and pink
rosebuds tied with silver ribbon
and a tiara of pink rosebuds.
Miss Dorothy Forth, cousin of the
bride, was maid of honor, wearing a
pink taffeta gown fashioned with a
sweetheart neckline, a corsage of
white pompons and pink roses tied
with pink and a tiara. Roswell
Herman, brother of the groom, acted
as best man.
The bride's mother chose a blue
gown and the mother of toe groom,
wine color. Each wore a corsage of
red roses.
A wedding dinner was served In
Oeltz tea room with covers for 55
juesta at two long tables decorated
with pink and white pompons, and
pink and blue candles In crystal
holders. A four-tiered wedding
cake- adorned with the ornament
used at Mrs. Briggs' wedding was
placetUwfore the bride and groom.
Severfl bouquets of vari-colored
pompons were placed about the
room and a large white wedding
bell was suspended above the center
of the tables.
After the dinner, a reception was
held at the home of the bride for
100 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman left for a
wedding trip, the bride wearing for
traveling a plaid suit with Dubonnet
accessories.
