Relatives of Mrs. Mary S. Springer,
65 years old, of 515 Seventyeighth
street, who was fatally Injured
in an automobile accident at
Ionia. Mich., Wednesday night, received
word today that her niece,
Mrs. Grace B. Russell, 44, of Flint,
Mich., died late yesterday from injuries
received In the same accident.
When Mrs. Springer died shortly
after being admitted to an Ionia
hospital, Mrs. Russell's condition
was so serious that no hope for her
recovery was held.
Arrangements for the funeral of
Mrs. Sprlnger, who was A descendant
of one of the oldest families
In Niagara county and was widely
known, were completed todAy. The
body will Arrive At the Seventyeighth
'street add ress tomorrow faternoon
and will be removed to the
First Methodist church, of which
Mrs. Springer was a member of the
board, at 11 a m. Monday. Services
will be conducted In the church by
the Rev. Dr. Melvin J. Hill at 2 p.
m. Monday And burial will be made
In Mountain View cemetery, Pekln.
Mrs. Springer was a daughter of
the late Benedict Maurer and Sarah
Witmer Maurer. Her mothers
family for years occupied one of the
oldest, homesteads In the Saunders
Settlement road
