Dr. John H- Brigham, 75 years
old, a veterinary surgeon who practiced
his profession here and
throughout Niagara county for
many years, died suddenly at 9
o'clock this morning at his home,
16 Adam street, after suffering a
stroke. He had a large circle of
friends and acquaintances, who held
him in veery high esteem for his
personal qualities as well as his
professional talent.
Dr. Brigham was born in Canada
and came to Niagara county when
nine years old. He lived for many
years on the Slayton Settlement
road near Gasport but had resided
in this city for the last 22 years.
He was a member of Gasport
Lodge, No. 407, I.O.O.F., and a charter
member of the Gasport Rebekah
lodge. He was a member of the
Gasport Congregational church.
He is survived by his wile, Mrs.
Cora A. Brigham; one son, Howard
Brigham, of this city; a daughter,
Mrs. William Webster, of Gasport;
and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Westfall,
of Roulette, Pa.
Funeral services will
Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
at the home and at 3 o'clock at the
Gasport Congegational church. Inerment
will be at Orangeport cemetery.
The Gasport Lodge of Odd
Fellows will have charge of the
services at the grave
