- Bradley J. Lauzau, age 56 of Ransomville, died Sunday April 16, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after battling cancer since August.
Brad was born March 16, 1961 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Ronald and Mary (Schultz) Lauzau of Wilson. He attended local schools and served two years in the National Guard. Brad worked as a laborer for Faery's Nursery in Ransomville.
He was well known for never wasting a day. If he wasn’t working, he was helping his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, canoeing, cooking, playing darts, volleyball, and pool. Brad was known to have visit local taverns to watch his favorite sports and have a beer with his many friends. “It is what it is” was how Brad would respond to his diagnosis and was determined to live a full life without regrets.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Robin (David) Becker of North Tonawanda, NY and Christine Kroening (Bradley Snyder) of Ransomville; three nieces, Jennifer, Mary, and Jessica; a nephew, Jarod; a great niece and nephew, Jackson and Isabella Mae; his dear friends, Gail (Gates) Lonsbery and Dean Lampman. He was predeceased by his brother, John R. "Beans" Lauzau.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 21, at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. William Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
