- Obituary of Isabelle Nelson Isabelle L. (Rolfe) Nelson 86 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at home under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Union Springs, NY on March 5, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Herman and Bessie E. (Robinson) Rolfe. Isabelle was a devout Christian and enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by one daughter: Cindy (Art) Gertz of Niagara Falls, NY; three grandchildren Todd (Kim) Douglas of Tennessee, Cari Gertz of Lockport, NY and Danielle Gertz of Niagara Falls, NY; eight great-grandchildren Connor, Troy, Hannah, Mia, Lana, Amaya, Cole and Josiah. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Nora Lee Hutton; brothers Irvin Rolfe, Stuart Rolfe, Edward "Shortie" Rolfe and Donald Rolfe; sisters Thelma Piper and Marion Eady. Also her longtime companion Lloyd Strope.Friends may call Friday April 10th from 11AM-1PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Where funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. Burial following in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
