A pioneer resident of the old
First Ward and South Buffalo,
Mrs. Catherine Agnes Roche died
Christmas morning at her home,
158 Pries Ave., after a long illness.
She was 85.
Funeral services will be held at
10 a. m. Wednesday at Holy Family
Church. Her son, the Rev. Edward
L. Roche, pastor of St. Pat-
rick's Church, Belfast, will sing
the mass. Burial will be In Holy
Cross Cemetery.
Born in 1858, Mrs. Roche attended
St. Bridgld's School and
Mercy Academy. She was a parishioner
of Holy Trinity Church
more than 30 years. Her husband,
Patrick J. Roche, a city employe
more than 40 years, died in 1930.
Besides Father Roche, she is survived
by two other sons, William
and John; four daughters. Suiter
Mary Edmunda of the Mercy
Order, Mrs. Daniel Bohen, Mrs
George J. Jackson, Mrs. Francis
Lawrence; two brothers, William
and Thomas Brinkworth, and a
sister. Mrs. Helen Lynch, all of
Buffalo.
