- Tyler Ronald Emmick, 21, of Niagara Falls, NY, was called to eternal peace on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Born on July 14, 1993 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the beloved son of Michael and Lynn (Haynes) Emmick.
Tyler attended local schools and later attended Niagara County Community College. He was an accomplished powerlifter and bodybuilder, winning several awards and also earned his Black Belt in Karate. Tyler also loved music and was a die-hard Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. He was active in his family's local church, Riverside Presbyterian Church, where he served in many of their volunteer services. In his younger years, Tyler was active in Boy Scouts, soccer and baseball. Tyler was very sociable, fun-loving and a friend to all who knew him. He had a smile that could light up a room.
In addition to his cherished parents, Tyler will be sadly missed by two brothers, Paul (Katie) Emmick and Nicholas (Kim Banas) Emmick; his grandmother, Patricia (late John) Sparks; aunts, Kathy (late Julian) Sojka, Terri Hans, Tammy (Sherri) Wehrmeyer, Darlene (Jack) Placek and Sherry (Steve) Gordon; his uncle, Bob (Lynne Gryska) Emmick and many cousins and other relatives and close friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Emmick and Ronald Haynes and uncle, Gary Kahley.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, April 29th at 10:00 a.m. in Riverside Presbyterian Church, 815 84th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Private graveside services will be held with his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
