Paul J. Britt, 82, of 55 Lakewood
Village, died suddenly Sunday
morning at his residence.
He was born July 6, 1903 in the
Town of Ridgeway, to the late Bruce
and Kate (Britt) Britt. He had lived
in the Medina area all of his life.
He was the mechanic's foreman
for Anderson Motors in Medina for
many years, leaving in 1946 to run
his own service station on South
Main Street, until he became
Orleans County's first dog warden.
He then became a school bus driver
and mechanic for the Medina School
System retiring around 1965.
His first wife, Mildred Russell,
died in 1953.
His second wife, Grace Schultz,
died in 1976.
He was a member of the Senior
Citizens of Western Orleans Inc., an
honorary member of the VFW of
Medina, a mem^ r of the Odd
Fellows of Medina, and his hobbies
included hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include three
daughters, Mrs. Milton (Kathleen)
Houghtaling of Pheonixville, Pa.,
Mrs. Donald (Virginia) My hill of
Medina, Nola B. Holman of Medina;
seven grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren,
and several nieces
and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by two
sisters and three brothers.
There will be no prior visitation.
Private memorial services will be
held at the convenience of the
family.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant
Cemetery, West Shelby.
Memorial gifts may be made to
Lee-Whedon Library or to the
charity of one's choice.
