Red gladioli and red and white
carnations, with palms and terns
decorated the altar of St. John's
Church, June T, for the marriage
of Miss Dorothy McKnlght, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. T. Edwin Mo-
Knight, 12 Ashley PI., and R. Janes
Buchanan, son of Roy H. Buchanan,
17 Livingston PI. The Rev.
Francis A. Clancy, DD, performed
the double-ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a gown of white
marquisette, fashioned with an Illusion
neckline and ruffle of chantilly
lace giving an off-the-shoulder
effect, a tight bodice and full train.
The ruffled cuffs of her long sleeves
and a cascade of ruffles on the front
of the skirt were of matching lace.
Her veil of French illusion fell from
a lace bonnet and and carried a
shower bouquet of gardenias and
white rosebuds.
Mies Audrey McKnlght, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor, wearing
a gown of red and white dotted
Swiss, fashioned with off-theshoulder
neckline and full flounced
skirt. She.wore an open crown
picture hat' of matching material
with white lace mitts and carried
red and white carnations tied with
a large red bow.
Miss Rita Path of Buffalo and
Miss Lorena Wannan of Kenmore,
bridesmaids, wore gowns identical
to that of the maid of honor.
Miss Elizabeth Morris sang the
Mam and Ave Maria, accompanied
by Mrs. Grace Tenbroeck, organist.
Mrs. McKnlght, mother of the
bride, chose a street-length dress
of black and white silk and a pie
ture hat of black straw trimmed
with red roses matching her cor
sage. Mrs. Joseph Oaruder, aunt
of the bridegroom and Mrs. Robert
Buchanan, sister-in-law of the
bridegroom, were also attired in
black and white silk. Mrs. Garuder
wearing a black straw hat with
white flowers and Mrs. Buchanan,
a picture hat of black straw. Their
corsages also were of red roses.
Following the ceremony, a breakfast
was served at Hotel Lox-Plaza,
where 20 were seated at the bridal
table. About 390 guests attended
the reception there in the afternoon.
The Misses Betty Lou Ward,
Ellen Eddy and Jean Lanighan assisted
in serving.
The couple left for a motor trip
East, the brlde wearing a blue-gray
crepe dress, navy picture hat and
navy accessories. Her coat was
i gray.

where Mr. Buchanan is employed as
an engineer with the Automatic
Sprinkler Company,

number from Youngstown, Cleveland,
Champaign, m.. Los Angelas,
Buffalo, Mtddleport and Canada,
Pre-nuptial events Included a red
adn white kitchen shower given by
Miss Carolyn Hoffmaster; a dinner
snd variety shower by Mrs. George
Ward and her daughter. Betty Lou;
a dinner at the Chez Ami m Buffalo
given by Eugene Leous and a
dinner given at the heme of Mrs.
Herbert Duselln, Kenmore.
