  Niagara Gazette - 2/18/1952 Funeral Services Today For Mrs. Alice Townsend Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today, at her home, for Mrs. Alice J. Townsend. 78, of 4022 DeVeaux street, who died late Thursday at Memorial hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Townsend was a native of Lyndonville and was the wife of the the late Louis W. Townsend, formerly in the hardware business in this city. She is survived by one son, Elwin, two grandsons and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Breed, this city; a second sister. 'Mrs. Nina Bayne, Lockport, and a third sister, Mrs. Mabel Corbett Brockport. The Rev. Chester Beebe, St. James Methodist church, was to conduct the services and. burial was to be at Riverdale cemetery
