passed away at Lockport Memo
rial Hospital, Tuesday, January
29, 1963. Wife of the late Louis F
Kagels she leaves two daughters,
Mrs. Raymond F. Alexander
Mrs. Wilbur L. Burns, one grandson,
Keith Rae Alexander, o ne
brother. Walter H. Brockman, all
of Lockport and several nieces
and nephews. Friends may call
from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock
at Prudden and Kandt Funeral
Home, 242 Genesee Street where
funeral services will be held Friday
afternoon at two o'clock. In
terment in Corwin Cemetery.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs.
Elda C. Kagels, of 77 Regent St.
died Tuesday (Jan. 29, 1963) in
Lockport Memorial Hospital following
a short illness. She celebrated
her 75th birthday l a st
month.
Mrs. Kagels had lived in Lockport
with her daugher, Mrs. Ray
mond F. Alexander, since the
death of her husband. Louis F
Kagels, in January 1958. Previous
to that the couple had resided on
Dale Road in Newfane for 24 years
and in Lockport for several years
after their marriage in 1907.
She was born in Wilson on Dec.
24, 1887, daughter of Charles
Brockman and the former Hannah
EIck of Germany. Mrs. Ka
gels was a member of the Im
manuel Lutheran Church, Ridgewood.
Surviving are two daughters
Mrs. Wilbur L. Burns and Mrs
Raymond F. Alexnader; one
brother, Walter H. Brockman;
and a grandson, Keith Rae Alex
ander, all of Lockport.
Funeral services will be held
on Friday at 2 p.m. from the
Prudden and Kandt Funeral
Home, 242 Genesee St., where
friends may call from 2-5 and
7-9 p.m. The Rev. Arthur Kreutz
of the Immanuel Lutheran Church
will officiate. Burial will be in
Ridgewood Cemetery.
