Of Amherst, entered into rest on November 25, 2022. Beloved wife of 55 years to Donald E. Brodfuehrer; devoted mother of Kelli (Craig) Schreivogl and Kara Brodfuehrer; cherished grandmother of Evan Schreivogl and Arya Brodfuehrer; loving daughter of the late Helen (nee Kubisty) and Alvin Hartman; dear sister of Barbara (Joseph) DiMatteo and the late Ronald (Pat) Hartman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Karen grew up in Blasdell, NY, and attended Frontier High School. She spent the majority of her career at the University at Buffalo, retiring in 2004. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. (near Eggert Rd.) on Thursday, Dec. 1st from 3-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher's RC Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Tonawanda, on Friday, December 2, at 9:30 AM, followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
