The marriage of Miss Prances
Elizabeth Whittaker. daughter of
Mrs. Elliott L. Whittaker, of Walnut
avenue, to Mr. Darrel Eugene Mack.
son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E.
Mack, of Lewiston road, was solemnized
at 4:80 o'clock, Saturday
November 30, at the Town club,
Buffalo, with the Rev, D. N. Richard
W. Brynton officiating.
The ceremony was performed by
candlelight before a fireplace banked
with palms and white pom poms,
with the reception immediately following.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by Mr. Adolph Steeg, was,
becomingly attired in a gown of
ivory transparent velvet, designed
Empire style, with sweetheart neck
line and train. She wore a Juliet
cap with a fingertip illusion veil,
and carried a crescent-shaped boquet
of white chrysanthemums and
pom poms.
Mrs. Aldree J. Brown, cousin of
the bride and matron of honor,
wore a floor length gown of delph
blue transparent velvet, fashioned
after the bride's, with a Juliet cap
and nose veil in matching tone. She
carried a crescent-shaped bouquet
made of bronee chrysanthemums
and pom poms.
The bride's mother was gowned
to an afternoon dress of flag blue
transparent velvet and wore a corsage
of gardenias. The mother of
the bridegroom wore a black crepe
gown with Jet, brocaded epaulets
Her corsage was also of gardenias.
The tmisic for the occasion was
provided by a harp and violin duo.
Two vocal selections, Schuberfs
"Ave Maria" and Grieg's "Ich
Llebe Dich" were beautifully rendered
by Mrs. Thomas Scullen.
The best man was Mr. Robert
Mack, of Willamsvllle, brother of
the groom. The ushers were Mr.
Donald Hastie and Mr. Frank
Toomey.
Following the reception, the bride
and groom left for West Lafayette,
where they will reside. The bride
wore a moss green crepe dress with
black accessories.
The out-of-town guesta were Mrs
John Wertz, of Lakewood. Ohio:
Mrs. James Redding, of Alexandria,
Va.: Miss Doris Barber, of Cleveland.
Ohio, and Miss Ernestine Neff,
of New York City.
