- Lois H. (Henderson) Demler, 84 of Wheatfield, Sunday (August 21, 2022) in Northgate Nursing Home. Lois was born in North Tonawanda on January 7, 1938 to Hugh and Isabell (Gowans) Henderson. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, 1955 graduate of Tonawanda High School, graduated with her bachelors degree from University of Buffalo, in Business and History, member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 264, Red Hats Society, Tonawanda Business and Professional Women's Association, and the Clan Henderson Society. In her spare time she was an avid bowler and bocce ball player. Lois was predeceased by her sisters Ethel (Mike) Fill, Anne (Harry) Prohn, Elsie (Harry) Mongold, Barbara (Daryl) Mongold, and Evelyn (Dennis) Fetterhoff.
Lois is survived by her husband of 66 years Eugene D. Demler, daughter Donna (Robert) Scarpena, and son Timothy (Tracy) Demler, brother Hugh (Susan) Henderson, grandchildren Crystal (Jerry Dove) Scarpena, Stephanie (Lance) Frank, and Lisa Demler, great grandkids Olivia and Harrison Dove, and Carolina Demler, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Internment Acacia Park Cemetery. Wattengel.com
