SANBORN, Sept. 9-Seymour
P. Schoelles, 80, of Niagara St.,
died yesterday (Sept. 8, 1955) at
the Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital
after a long illness.
Mr. Schoelles was born Oct. 20,
1874, in the Town of Pendleton,
son of the late Philip and Anna
Human Schoelles. When a young
man he taught school in several
rural districts of the county. Later
he was employed for a number of
years by the former Shredded
Wheat Co., Niagara Falls, and
later as a caretaker in the school
in the Village of Lewiston.
He lived most of his life in Lewiston
Village but for the last few
years had lived with his brother,
Albert W. Schoelles, this village.
He was a member of the Sanborn
First Baptist Church. His wife,
the late Grace Cole Schoelles, died
in 1944.
He is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Ralph Brooks, Winter Park,
Fla.; four brothers, Otto N., Perrysburg,
N. Y.; Elmer A., Niagara
Falls; Amos M., Winter Park, Fla.,
and Albert W. Schoelles, this village.
Friends may call at the Pike
Funeral Home where services will
be held tomorrow at 3 p. The Rev.
Glenn Faucett will officiate. Interment
will be in North Ridge
Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully
declined and memorial donations
may be made to the cancer fund.
