  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 10/31/1967 Mrs. Flora Shorten, a Gasport resident until moving to Woodhull, about two years ago, died Monday (Oct. 30, 1967) in Corning. Mrs. Shorten, 90, was born Flora Brownell, March 23, 1877, and had lived most of her life on Quaker Road in Gasport. She had been a member of the Quaker Road Methodist Church and its women's society for many years. Her husband, George Shorten, died about 18 years ago. Surviving Mrs. Shorten a re one daughter, Mrs. Luella Taft of Woodhull; three sons, Cecil of Barker, Carl of Middleport, and Burt of Lockport. She also leaves nine grandchildren, 20 great - grandchildren and one brother, Roy Brownell of Gasport. Friends may call at the Hood Funeral Home In Barker from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be In Hartland Central Cemetery
