- KEIDEL - Victoria Ann Age 66, of Tonawanda, NY and Placida, FL, passed away on April 2, 2018, in Englewood, FL. She was born on September 7, 1951, in Tonawanda, to Janet B. and Lloyd Long. Vickie was diagnosed with kidney disease in the late 1980s, had a transplant in the early 1990s which failed, then had another successful transplant in 1996. After she was able to return to work in early 1997, she became the Executive Director of the National Kidney Foundation of Western New York, where she provided education and direction to those in western New York suffering from kidney disease, until 2003. Vickie then worked for the National Kidney Foundation of North Florida where she provided similar assistance to the kidney community of Orlando, Florida. She was a member of the National Reigning Horse Association and a past President of the Cape Haze Women's Club. Vickie is survived by her mother, Janet B. Long of Tonawanda, NY; a sister, Deborah (Richard) Jaeger of North Tonawanda, NY; her significant other, E. Timothy Danahy, III of Placida, FL and her kidney donor mother, Darlene Amyerich. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Long, who passed away in 2013. Services are private. Farley Funeral Home in North Port, Florida is handling the arrangements.
