- Michael David Smith, age 47 of Youngstown, died Friday September 11, 2015 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.Michael was born October 6, 1967 in Lewiston, the son of David P. and Judith A. (Tylock) Smith of Youngstown. He was a 1985 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Buffalo. For the past 30 years, Michael has been the proud owner, operator, and DJ of Asylum Productions. He had volunteered his time and talent for many local charities.He was a communicant of St. Bernard's RC Church in Youngstown and an honorary member of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company. Besides being an avid NY Yankee fan Michael was a loyal son, a great brother and a good friend. Most of all he was a proud father. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those people who assisted Michael throughout his illness. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Andrew Smith of Lewiston, his brother, Timothy E. (Dawn) Smith of the Town of Wheatfield; his former wife, Allison Smith of Lewiston; a nephew, Nicholas, two nieces, Paige and Victoria, several cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Tuesday, September 15, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard's RC Church, Hinman and Second Sts., Youngstown, with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Moran officiating. (Please assemble at Church). Entombment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174.
