The marriage of Miss Lorena
Knatler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Knatler of 122 Vine street, to
Dr Stanford J. Brumley, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Brumley of 339 Pine
street, was solemnized Saturday at
3:30 o'clock In the Emmanuel Methodist
Episcopal church, the Rev.
Paul Morrison officiating.
The bride, who was given In marriage
by her father, wore a becoming
gown of white satin ultra with seed
pearl trimming and veil of Illusion
with halo of braided satin. She carried
calla lilies.
Miss Florence Knatler, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor; Mrs.
Arthur Pautler, sister of the groom,
matron of honor and Miss Zella
Schuck, bridesmaid . They wore
gowns of goughi blue moire trimmed
with purple velvet, with matching
hats, and carried Johanna Hill roses.
Church decorations were of gladioli
attractively arranged. Arnold
Luskey was best man and ushers
were Dr. Wendell Ames of Buffalo,
Fred Goble. Frederick Knatler and
Jsmet Knatler. Harold W. D. Smith
was organist.
The bride's mother wore navy
blue crepe and Mrs. Brumley wore
navy blue over taffeu.
Following the ceremony a reception
of S3 guests was held at the
home of the bride's parents, where
decorations were of gift flowers. Fifteen
were seated at the bridal table.
Or. and Mrs. Brumley left for a
wedding Journey through the New
England states, Mrs. Brumley wearing
a black wool suit with matching
accessories After their return they
will make their home at 94 Cottage
street.
Out of town guests included Dr.
and Mrs. Ames of Buffalo and Dr.
and Mrs. Jack Ellis of Holly.
Mlas Knatler was honored at
numerous entertainments before her
marriage, including the following:
a dinner and crystal shower given
on Monday evening of last week by
Mlae Marie Murphy and Miss Virginia
Daley at the Maple Brook
manor; a party on Wednesday eveining
given by Dr. and Mrs. Pautler
at their cottage in Wilson.
A luncheon and bathroom shower
given at the Maple Lane by Mrs.
Fred Goble; a dinner given at the
General Brock hotel in Niagara
Palls., Out., by the girls of the engineering
department of the Harrison
Radiator division of the General
Motors corporation.
A linen shower given by the Misses
Zella Schuck and Betty Bryant at
the former's home, Chestnut street;
a luncheon and bedroom shower
given at the Buffalo Trap and Field
club by Mrs. Oliver Webster; a yellow
towel shower given by Mrs.
James Knatler and Miss Florence
Knatler at the former's home, Hyde
park, and a Sunday morning breakfast
and kitchen shower given by
Mrs. Arnold Luskey and Miss Helen
Luskey at Mrs. Luskey's home. Cottage
street.
