F. H. Sahm, Carpenter Dies at 53
Franklin H. (Red) Sahm, 53, of 5981 Ide Road, Newfane, died Thursday at his home. Mr. Sahm had been a self-employed carpenter in Newfane for the past seven years. He previously worked at the Pembroke Construction Company in Lockport. He was born Aug 12, 1917 in the Town of Lockport, the son of Frank and Hulda (Drake) Sahm. Surviving are his widow, Wilhelmine; two sons, Gary and Daniel Sahm at home; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Losftrom of Atlanta, G., and Mrs. Gerald Yates of Springfield, Mass.; two sisters Mrs. Bert Lindke and Mrs. Arnold Brunning, both of Akron, N.Y.;and three grandchildren. Friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home Inc., 2670 Main St. Newfane, today. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 tomorrow at Faith Lutheran Church, Main St., Newfane.Mr. Sahm was a member and past trustee of the church. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church building fund or to the charity of the one’s choice.
