- LOCKPORT Robert Fink, of Lockport, died Sunday, Dec. 17 at Veterans Hospital in Buffalo. He was bom Nov. 24, 1917 in Wolcottsville, the son of the late John and Anna Eick Fink. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre from 1940-45. Mr. Fink worked at the J.C. Fink and Son Store in Wolcottsville which he later purchased and then sold in 1960. He then worked at Akron Oil Co. for several years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, life member of the Akron VFW Post #3180, member of Akron American Legion Post #0900 and a life mem-ber of the DAV of Akron. He was also an exempt fireman in Wolcottsville Fire Co. and had play-ed in the Wolcottsville band for many years. Mr. Fink was formerly on the Democratic Committee and was Democratic custodian in the Town of Royal ton. He is survived by his wife, Mar-garet; daughters, Carol Stevens, of Lockport, and Donna Bruning, of Gasport; five grandchildren, Kristin Jamieson, of Newfane, Brian Hubert, of Lockport, and Eric Bruning, of Gasport, Aaron Bruning, of Gasport, and Heather Hubert, of Lockport; one great-granddaughter, Chelsey Jamieson, of Newfane; brother-in-law, Francis (Joanne) Schilling, of Buffalo; one nephew, Ronald (Gerri) Lindke, of Wolcottsville; several grand-nieces, -nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings, Norman Fink and Dorthy Wagner. Friends may call today from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc., 38 State St., Middleport and Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville where the Rev. Wayne Renning will officiate at a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Royalton Mt. Ridge Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church
