- Mary Ann Byington, of Niagara Falls, died on Monday, October 5, 2015 in Mount. St. Mary’s Hospital, following a brief illness. She was 74. She was born in Niagara Falls, New York on February 7, 1941, the daughter of the late James and Helen (Russell) Masterson. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
On April 23, 1966, she married William Byington. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage. She worked for Doctors Weppner Gillick and Klopper and retired from Dr. Ajitkumar T. Trivikram where she scheduled surgeries in 2001.
Mary was a lifetime member of the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary, serving on its sick committee. She enjoyed playing bingo there on Monday nights and the occasional trip to the casino. She was a longtime member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace, working on a committee or two there.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; a daughter, Lisa Siegmann (Ross) of Sanborn; two brothers, Brian Masterson (Sandra) of Pendleton; James Masterson (Sheila) of San Diego, CA; two grandsons, Tyler and Jacob Siegmann and three nieces.
Friends may call SUNDAY 4:00-6:00 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace site, 1055 Military Road, Niagara Falls. Please assemble at church. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
