- DOREEN'S OBITUARY
Doreen A. (Campanella) Basile Anthony, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Monday, July 1st, 2024. Doreen was born in Niagara Falls, New York on JULY 31, 1953, a daughter of John and Alice (Foldoe) Campanella Kaufmann. She attended local schools.
The family will remember Doreen as a strong, but gentle loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
She worked for the former Goose’s Roost for many years, always greeting customers with her infectious smile and personality.
Later in life, she graduated from Niagara County Community College and the State of New York at Buffalo with a degree in Electroencephalography Technology with an Academic and Clinical Excellence Award from Graphic Controls of Buffalo. She was employed by Buffalo General Hospital as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, monitoring back surgeries for many years.
She is survived by two children, Tina Louise Jarzyniecki of Niagara Falls; Kenneth Richard (Myah) Basile of Wellsville; her loving grandchildren, Justin, Briana, Shane, Madeline and David; her siblings, Phyllis Shaddock; John Campanella; Philip Campanella and Diane Pearl. Also survived by several nieces in nephews. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Vincent J. Tripi in 2015.
Family will received friends Saturday from 11 AM until 1 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where memorial services in memory of Doreen will be celebrated Saturday at 1 PM. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice.
