  Obituary Richard L. Heschke of Newfane, NY husband of the late Beverly A. Kirchberger Heschke entered into rest on Monday, May 1, 2023. He was born in Lockport, NY on February 21, 1936, son of the late Harold and Gertrude Miller Heschke. Richard served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors. He enjoyed farming, playing bingo and spending time with his grandchildren. Father of John (Sue) Heschke, Doug Heschke and Julie (Kevin) Gow. Grandfather of Carrie Rutkowski, Ethan Gow, Brian Heschke, Kaitlyn Bramwell, Cassandra Heschke and Mathew Heschke. Brother of Mary Alice Woods, Ida Giertz, Shirley Doty and the late Clarence, William and Donald Heschke. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2-6pm where funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:30am. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
