- Frank P. D’Amuro, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY. Loving husband of Matilda (DiPofi) D’Amuro. Passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 after a long illness. Born on August 31, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Gaetana (Contestabile) D’Amuro.
Frank was educated and resided all of his life in Niagara Falls. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country during the Korean War. Frank was a successful, independent business owner with a special talent and ability to fix anything mechanical. His true passion was spending time with his grandchildren whether it be playing baseball, cards, or telling them “tall tales.” He enjoyed working outside on his lawn and garden. He was a man who truly loved his family and home.
In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, Frank is survived by his beloved children Pasquale (Laura) D’Amuro, Nancy (Mark) Olszewski, and Tony (Lisa) D’Amuro; his adoring, five grandchildren Frank, Nicholas, Kaleigh, Carly, and Caroline; his sister Mary (Frank) Malek. He is preceded in death by his brother Lawrence D’Amuro and twin brother Ted D’Amuro.
Visitation will be on Wednesday August 10th from 9 - 11:15 AM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will begin at 11:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY concluding with Military Honors. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
