Christopher Caraglin, 36, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on January 24, 2020. Born on October 6, 1983 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of Colleen (O’Shea) Caraglin and the late Robert Caraglin.
Chris, as he was known, was a lifelong Town of Niagara resident, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 2002. He was currently employed for Thomason Concrete Construction as well as the Niagara Reporter. Chris enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin in the southern tier.
In addition to his mother, Chris is survived by sisters, Shannon (Bill) Fundis and Janelle (fiancé Rick Haight) Vicki; longtime girlfriend, Alyssa DePetris; nieces, Lilly and Nora Fundis; uncle, Anthony Caraglin, Jr. and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two infant brothers and a brother, Robert Caraglin; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Inez Caraglin, Sr. (NFPD ret.) and maternal grandparents, John and Maryann O’Shea.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with family friend, Rev. Alice DePetris Feucht. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R. Goodlander.
