- Orlen 'Joe' Keith, of Niagara Falls, died on Monday, August 22, 2016 at home, while receiving care from Niagara Hospice. He was 93. He was born in Clearfield County, PA, on the Keith farm. He lived in Pennsylvania throughout his childhood, attending the Pennsylvania School of Agriculture.
A Veteran of WW II, he was stationed overseas with the US Army. Living briefly in Albany, NY, he worked for a dairy farm. After moving to Niagara Falls, he worked for the Hooker Chemical Company and retired from Goodyear as a chemical operator after many years.
Survivors include his children, Sharon (Timothy) Beahan of Niagara Falls, Orlen 'Kirby' (Linda) Keith of the Town of Wheatfield, Brian Keith of Faribault, MN; siblings, Donald 'Duke' Keith of Lady Lake, FL, Roxie 'Kate' Dillen of North Tonawanda, Raymond 'Jake' (Barbara) Keith of York, PA, Norma 'Jean' (late Walter) Gulla of the Town of Niagara, and Carol 'Toots' (late Gordon) Ortt of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Brian, Andrea, Jeannie, Ann and Joe; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Owen, Scott, Cora, Karlee and Violet. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by wives, Frances in 1946, and Verna M. Keith in 2009; and siblings, Vivian 'Sis' Mahaute, Charles Keith, Madeline ;Mae' Dillen, and Alvin 'Al' Keith.
Memorial services will be held Sunday 12:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 2099 River Road, Niagara Falls.
