- Helen Marchuck, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015, in the Delaware Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Buffalo, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 28, 1923, a daughter of the late Nazar and Katrina [Martanuk] Marchuck.
Miss Marchuck was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and the Kelly Business Institute. She was an office clerk with Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in the patient accounts department for 32 years, before retiring in 1988. Miss Marchuck was a member of the Golden Agers Club and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, drawing, oil painting and taking care of her flower garden. She had a great love of animals, taking care of strays and feeding the birds.
Miss Marchuck is survived by one sister Anne (late Derald) Zipf and was the aunt of Mary Ellen McMillan and Tony, Linda MacKenzie, Les (Barbara Rosino) MacKenzie and George A. (Vickie) MacKenzie, she is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Mackenzie, George (late Jean) Marchuck and Michael (late Julia) Marchuck, Alex, John, Nickolis and William V. Luzak.
Her family will be present on Friday from 1-3:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM, with the Rev. Robert Bellingham officiating.
