  Niagara Gazette - Aug-Oct 1944 John Jacob Knorr. 70, retired employe Of the Shredded Wheat company, died unexpectedly yesterday St his home, 316 Seventh-seventh stree. He was a native of Buffalo and was a member of Buffalo chapter No. 40, Fraternal Society of the Deaf. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie' C. Knorr; a daughter, Mrs. Elsie C. Wigle; a son, Private John Jacob Knorr, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Dougherty, of Syracuse, N. ,Y.; Mrs. Annie Auld, of Buffalo, and Mrs. Katie Thayer, in Wisconsin., and two brothers, Edward and George Knorr. of Buffalo. Services will be held at the family home at 3 pan. tomorrow, with the Rev. Wesley Baker officiating. Interment will be made in White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery, Tonawanda.
