A wedding of interest to many
friends in this city was that of Miss
Helen Virginia Brown, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Prank D.
Brown, and James Brydges, son of
Mr. and Mrs, William Brydges. of
Big Island, Va., formerly of this city.
The ceremony took place Monday
morning at 10 o'clock at the Holy
Cross Catholic church, Lynchburg,
Va., with the Rev. William Merldith
officiating.
The bride wore a suit of russet
tan and beige, with matching hat
and accessories. Her corsage was of
rare beige orchids.
The matron of honor. Mrs. William
G. Bigger, sister of the bride,
wore navy blue with gold and
matching accessories. Her flowers
were arranged in a shoulder corsage
of Talisman rosebuds.
Spottsworth Poster, Jr.. of Ashland,
Ky.. was the best man.
Immediately after the ceremony a
wedding breakfast was served for the
bridal party, immediate families and
a few friends, at the Boonsboro
Country club. The clubhouse was
artistically decorated In bridal
white. After a wedding trip Mr.
and Mrs. Brydges will make their
home In Big Island. Va , where Mr.
Brydges is practicing law
Mr. Brydges Is the brother of
Earl W. Brydges of Garret avenue,
this city.
